Hi, I’m Rei!
I’m a Senior Print Designer at Carter’s, based in Atlanta, where I create playful, hand-drawn prints for babies and kids around the world.
I was born and raised in Japan, where drawing was always my favorite thing—and fashion always caught my eye. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, I moved to New York to study at FIT and chase my dream of becoming a designer. Now, as a mom to a little girl, I find inspiration every day in watching her grow and learn.
In addition to hands-on print development, my experience includes print direction, trend research, and curating artwork to align with brand identity and product intent. I’m skilled in building repeats, refining purchased prints, and preparing production-ready files across various textile categories. With strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, NedGraphics, and Lectra Kaledo, I approach each project with both artistic intuition and thoughtful execution.
I’ve worked across a wide range of textile design projects—from baby and kidswear to sleepwear, intimates, home textiles, and lifestyle products. My strength lies in creating original artwork that reflects each brand’s unique voice and aesthetic. I'm known for being highly adaptable, with the ability to design in many different styles while staying true to the product’s purpose. I love turning sketches and watercolors into prints that bring everyday moments to life with creativity and care.
